This is a picture of my 11 year old daughter. I'm so amazed by how grown up she looks sometimes...I want her to be my little girl for as long as possible and I'm always telling her not to grow up too fast! :)

Hi peeps!
I've always wanted to try to make a grunge-style layout and today I gave it a try! I had so much fun making it and I think there is no turning back! I'm in love with grunge :) (and Gesso)

Hi Peeeps!
I made this page for a Dream challenge on an Icelandic scrapbooking forum. The rules were to make a page with a new photo of yourself and journal about a dream you've had come true or has yet to come true.
My dream is written under the butterfly's wings. I blurred the text for privacy reasons.
I used a little BoBunny Gabrielle papers, Dusty attic chipboard frame, Tattered Angels mist and stamps and the background paper is from Iron Orchid Designs (Creative Imaginations). I made the roses of ribbon leftovers (Tutorial coming soon).

Love these pocketwatch-letters from Tattered Angels! I misted them with TA glimmer mist 'sunkissed peach' and then inked the letter for a more distressed effect.

I used crackle paint from Tim Holtz to distress the Dusty Attic-chipboard embellishment.

It's been a long time since I posted something here! That is because of me being too busy with my pshychology studies and writing research papers. But now I'm back :-)
I made this layout for a local scraplift challenge. The background is made with distressed cardboard and everything is from Swirlydoos kits who always manage to include the most gorgeous scrapbooking stuff! :-)
I made the Magnolia card from pp's from my old paper stash and one of my homemade coffee filter roses. Just love those cute Magnolias!

Hi everyone!
I decided it was time for a negative space layout...
...and a time to give patterned papers a rest. I made this layout with only white cardstock, some of it punched and painted or made into a flower. Shimmerz paint, lace, a few blings and more homemade embellies. :) The model here is my niece Dísa, an incredibly talented art student. The words on the layout say: meticulous, hard-working, artistic, serious, beautiful, sweet and down-to-earth. That is how I describe her. Hope you like this layout as much as I do!! :)

The coffee-filter roses tutorial !!

I've had so many enquiries on how to make these roses and I promised to make a quick tutorial:

You'll need coffee filters(brown or white), scissors, acid free glue, watercolor paint, some cardstock paper and glitter glue(if you want to glam'em up).

Draw a large scalloped or regular circle on the filter, or 3 smaller ones for smaller flowers.

Start cutting in a circle until you've reached the center, either in a scalloped or regular way.

It should now look something like this, kind of swirly.

Paint the swirlies with your watercolor paint and allow to dry a little but not completely.

Semi-dried swirlies.

Now start rolling your swirly between your fingers, starting from the middle to the end.

Rolled swirlies.

Now loosen up the rolled swirly a little bit and glue the end to the swirly itself. Then you have a rose like roll. Then glue the roll to your cardstock and press gently into the shape you like.

When the roses have dried completely, add glitter glue if you want and then cut them out of the cardstock.

Voilá! Here you go! Simple and very pretty coffee filter roses :-)

Made this page for a challenge on www.scrapbook.is, an icelandic scrapbooking forum. The rules were to use 5-6 mini photos, put them all on the same mat and only use 3 mini flowers. I have way too much of bright colored cardstock in my stash, from my early scrapbooking days and I never seem to find use for them. I made myself use this lime-green cardstock for this challenge, I think it suits the patterned pp's ok...always trying to challenge my comfort zone! ;)

Tiny toes

In this page I used some of the pretties from the september Swirlydoos kit. The Prima papers are just gorgeous and the pretty pearly-swirl as well. I had the feathered pearls in my stash and also the old notepaper, lace and the tiny pearls.
These baby toes belong to my dd who is now 9 years old :) sooo cute!

80's babe

The background paper I used in this page is from Making memories, the patterned pp's are from Die cuts with a view, the flowers and pink polkadot ribbon is from Bo Bunny. The swirl is handmade with transparency, Stickles liquid pearls and glitter. My mom gave me the cute flower lace :) The sticker letters are from American crafts and the chipboard letters are from 7 gypsies.
This is my 9 year old dd having a great time at an 80's costume party :)

Here we have white Bazzill cardstock, Pink Paislee patterned pp, Sandylion letter stickers, Prima bling and the rest is home made :) printed, cut out and doodled on.

All the embellishments here are made by me. I made the flowers from transparency with Stickles liquid pearls-Petal pink and Stickles glitter-Frosted lace. The swirls and little pink blooms are printed on matte photo paper and cut out.
I used a dark brown and snow white Bazzill cardstock for the background and chalked the edges of the white cardstock for a slightly distressed look.

seems like only yesterday... :)

I used some old flowes and heartshaped brads(both from my early scrapbooking days) and the pearl swirls are handmade with stickles liquid pearls and transparency. I took the lavender butterfly of an old pen that didn't work anymore and the dark blue butterfly is printed on matte photopaper and cut out.
I just love scrapping without having to spend money... like to dig into my tiny stash and try using every single thing before buying more stuff. If I don't seem to have anything that fits, I alter the item or make embellishments myself :) so much more fun!!
